Can I compete if my permanent address is in another state, but I am going to school full time here?
YES, if you have been in educational status or employment states for at least six months preceding the date of the local pageant you may participate.

Can I have another person on stage with me during the talent portion of competition?
NO, you may not have anyone else on the stage with you during any part of the competition.

Can I skip rehearsals?
NO, rehearsal is mandatory because we are running through the entire show to perfect the script and other choreographed routines for timing purposes.

Can I wear a two-piece swimsuit or only a one piece?
You can wear a swimsuit that makes your body type look the best. We do allow two-piece suits and one-piece suits that are in good taste.

During interview what types of questions, will the judges ask me?
The judges can/will ask you current event questions, platform questions, and questions directly from the fact sheet that you complete to enter.

On stage, will I know what 2 questions I will be asked?
NO, we do not tell you the questions, but to relax your nerves we will only ask questions that directly relate to something that you have written on your fact sheet in the contract/entry for that you completed.

Can I have someone backstage to help me dress?
NO, we do not allow anyone backstage except our approved non-biased volunteers, which will NOT be family members of any contestant. The volunteers backstage can help you with what you need.

How do I raise my total of $100 for CMN/Miss America Scholarships?

First you must register at http://www.missamerica4kids.org/ then you can have people donate online or have them write a check payable to CMN and give it to us to count toward your money raised and we will turn it in to CMN for you.  You must have all checks written to CMN not Miss Mountain Empire.
